Thin Film Processing

Thin film processes such as, metal deposition and oxide deposition, have been in place at HiDEC since 1993. Now, the HiDEC capabilities include 8 thin film processes that are in place to accommodate the research and prototyping needs of faculty, students, and local businesses.

Although the configuration of the facility was originally geared towards multichip module fabrication, the tools at HiDEC are used for many different research projects by a number of disciplines and University departments.
