Biographical Information
Susan L. Burkett worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Becton Dickinson Research Center in the period 1992-1994. She has been an Assistant Professor in University of Alabama in the period 1994-1997, and in Boise State University in Idaho from 1997-2000. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2000. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering Department, University of Arkansas. Her research interests are in the microelectronics area with an emphasis on microelectronic materials and semiconductor device processing. She has 4 patents, 19 Journal Publications, and 14 Conference Proceedings Papers. Dr. Burkett has been successful in securing funded research programs from AFRL, NSF (REU and CAREER), DARPA in collaboration with MCNC, DOE, and SRC. She is active in the AVS: Science & Technology Society and served as Chair of the Short Course Executive Committee 2002-2004. Dr. Burkett is also a member of IEEE, MRS, ASEE, and SWE. She is involved in mentoring females in engineering through the Faculty for the Future E-Forum
