Employees of the Semester and Year
Nominations are solicited and accepted for the College of Engineering Employee of the Semester (Fall and Spring) award. Faculty and staff of the College of Engineering are encouraged to nominate staff employees in recognition of outstanding service to the College and the University. Self-nominations are not accepted or recognized. Nominations are due April 16th for the spring semester or November 15th for the fall semester. All regularly appointed staff are eligible for nomination. Nominees must have been employed by the College for at least one year.
How is the Employee of the Semester and Year selected?
Employee of the Semester will be selected by a committee made up of the two immediate past Employees of the Year winners, two faculty members(Chair of the Honors & Awards Committee and Chair of the Promotion and Tenure Committee), and two department heads (selected by the Dean).
Announcement of Winners
The President of the College Staff Council contacts the winner and the winner’s nominator of the selection. The winner and the nominator are invited to attend the semester faculty and staff meeting where the winner is presented with their certificate and cash award. The winners are announced via the College Monthly Bell listserv.
